Warner Brothers has now sent over the high res version of the Ron Weasley image that was published in USA Today (see post below!).

HBP Sneak Peeks: USA Today, Empire; A Love Drunk Ron!

Today's editition of USA Today provides an exclusive first look at the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!

The article, titled "6th Time is the charm for young wizard love," gives details on all the escapades that we can expect to see in the film! Included with the article is this too-awesome-for-words photo of a love-drunk Ron who accidentally eats some choclates laced with a love potion.

Rupert's New Film: Cherrybomb

RG.net can exclusively reveal that Rupert is currently working on a new movie titled Cherrybomb.

Set in Belfast, the plot is described to be a "a gritty thriller about two teenagers who get into trouble when they both fall for a beautiful new girl in town."

The film is currently in production and filming is expected to end in early August, scheduled for release in 2009. Check out the IMDB page for the film here.

Update: More information regarding the film is beginning to unearth! IMDb has updated to list two possible costars: Kimberely Nixon and Robert Sheehan.
Variety also mentioned Cherrybomb in an article back in February as did the Northern Ireland Screen.
"The film follows teenagers Luke, Malachy and Michelle as they embark on a wild weekend of drink, drugs, shop-lifting and stealing cars. But what starts out as a game turns deadly serious when the three discover that they can’t get off the wild ride they’ve set in motion."

Sky Magazine Set Report Teaser

Thanks to the team over at SnitchSeeker for letting us know about a set report teaser recently published in the July issue of Sky Magazine. The columnist, Tim Vincent, reveals that he spoke to Rupert some more about his ice cream van, "which he's started using to drive to and from work." [View the scan!]

All set report teasers for Half-Blood Prince were to be embargoed until the premiere of the teaser trailer. Could that mean we might be seeing something this month!?

Rupert to Attend F1 Party

As a kick off to the 2008 Formula 1 British Grand Prix, Rupert will be attending the second annual F1 Party hosted by the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Charity. The event takes place this coming Wednesday, 2nd July at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in London.

The party aims to raise funds for the building of a new Heart & Lung Centre at GOSH through an auction currently taking place online.

Anyone want to partner up and make a bid for the Ferrari experience? :P Thanks to Lauren for the news!

Update: Thanks to Tayna for sending us a scan from Famous magazine in Canada! It gives a small blurb about Rupert visiting the Jack the Ripper exhibition in London a few months ago.

A Moment of Silence

Last month, a heartbreaking tragedy befell the Harry Potter community. Robert Knox, a young actor who landed the role of Marcus Belby in Half-Blood Prince, was brutually murdered. A memorial service was held today in honor of Robert. Several members from the HP films attended the service, including Rupert.

Our deepest condolences go out to the Knox family and all those who knew Robert. We strongly ask that any photos that may pop up from the memorial service to be withheld. It's just not appropriate.

WB: No Mini-Movie In The Works

The WB is officially denying the rumors of the trio filming a mini-movie and several short scenes for the upcoming Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Though they all remain very supportive of the park, JKR never wrote the rumored script and the trio will not be filming anything related to the theme park between Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows.

Rupert To Work On New HP Skits

The Sunday Mirror has reported that J.K. Rowling has written a mini-movie and ride-related skits exclusively for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Theme Park at Universal Studios!

In conjuction, Rupert and his co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson will soon be filming the mini-movie and short scenes before they begin filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!

Though there is no official opening date as of yet, the Wizarding World is slated to open in December 2009.

First Look at HBP Calendar!

German company Carlsen has released the cover photo for the November 2008 - January 2010 HBP Calendar. On the cover, there's a nice shot of Rupert!

According to the website, the calendar will feature 70 photos from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Hopefully, we'll have many of those photos posted here before the calender's release in September! Thanks Oclumencia!

New Fan Photos from Spain

In 2007, Rupert took a vacation in Lanzarote. There were some fan pictures from the trip sent ot us about a year ago. Now, photos from Spain are appearing out of the blue!

Thanks to our very own photo goddess Lauren, we've come across eight new fan photos of Rupert at a western theme park originally uploaded just two days ago, meaning Rupert has recently been back or somone took a very long time to upload their photos! Enjoy!
