Into the White is inspired by a true story : High above the Norwegian mountains  an English and German aircraft shooteach other down after a fierce battle 27 April of 1940. Three German and two British pilots survived the accident and seek shelter in the hunting cabin. Although the war has made ​​them enemies, they must cooperate to survive in the isolated cabin in the mountains. The German bombing pilot Leutnant Horst Schopis is a highly educated, fifth-generation military officer. Schopis is played by Florian Lukas - one of Germany's most acclaimed actors of his generation. British Royal Air Force Fighter Pilot Captain Charles P. Davenport is a British gentleman from the upper class. Davenport is played by Lachlan Nieboer, known from the award-winning science fiction series Torchwood. British Royal Navy Gunner Private Robert Smith is a "wise guy", taken straight from Liverpool's streets. Smith is played by Rupert Grint, of Harry Potter films.
