This evening in London, Rupert Grint attended the F1 Party at Battersea Evolution along with his rally driver brother, James. The event was held in support of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and the mark the launch of this weekend's British Grand Prix.
We have now been told that a brand new Q&A will be included during which Rupert talks about his fans and upcoming projects.
As many of you know, every year we put together an online birthday card for the fans to sign for Rupert. And every year, we feature some stunning artwork as a sort of "cover" for the card (see past examples from 2012 and 2008).
This year, we're interested in highlighting some new talent to design the front cover. If your love of art is so powerful, it's coursing through your veins, and you want the opportunity to have your favorite actor see your work, then we want to hear from you!
Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with some examples of your art work. The artist chosen will have until Rupert's birthday, August 24, to come up with a concept and design for the cover.
Deadline to submit an application is July 20. The online birthday card will be open for all of your mesages in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned!
ScreenDaily is reporting that Rupert Grint will join Harry Potter producer David Heyman and Josh Berger from Warner Bros. UK to talk about the Harry Potter phenomenon. The talk is part of the UK Trade & Investment's international business legacy program during the Olympic Games.
The film industry will be well represented in the Creative Industries portion of the event, which will take place on July 31 (very fitting for a Harry Potter discussion!). Note, however, that this is a private event for business leaders only.
Also, on an unrelated note, we thought we'd update you all regarding CBGB filming. Shooting has begun in Savannah, but Rupert will not on set until early July (dates to be confirmed).
You may remember Nick Wilson as RupertGrint.net's Featured Artist for our Music Section for the month of June. Well, today, we have a brand new Q&A from Nick, just for you!

We've got more exciting news on the development of Rupert Grint's upcoming movie 'CBGB.' Casting has been coming along nicely according to an article that states over 900 people came to audition for a role or to be an extra in the film in Savannah, Ga. As previously announced, Rupert will be playing a guitarist named Cheetah Chrome, from the band called Dead Boys, in the film alongside Alan Rickman and others. See what Randall Miller had to say about casting in an interview all about CBGB here.
Cheetah Chrome will also be appearing in the film as a cameo and in this article, director Randall Miller said, "Cheetah is looking forward to meeting his 7-year-old son's big screen idol."
Co-writer Jody Savin said in an interview, “When we were writing the script, we wanted Rupert to play Cheetah Chrome of the Dead Boys. He just looks so much like him. And we’re excited to see Rupert in a dog collar, with a scowl.”
CBGB The Movie has been flooding social media* with updates, pictures and news, so keep up with Rupert's new movie with us here at RupertGrint.net for more!
