Some general news today regarding the Harry Potter films and upcoming events:

The historic Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City (location of several 'Potter' premieres!) is hosting a special Harry Potter movie marathon beginning next Friday, the 19th, until December 24th. All five of the Harry Potter films will be screened, and more information is available here.

We know many of you are curious as to the status of Rupert's latest films. We do have a small bit of information to share today regarding Cherrybomb, the Belfast indie Rupert filmed during the summer.

ABC Family's Harry Potter Weekend has officially begun! The first of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince sneak peeks and interviews have aired. There is only a short appearance from Rupert, but it's entertaining nonetheless!

In anticipation to the kick start of ABC Family's Harry Potter film marathon tonight, USA Today has published a new interview with the 'Potter' producers.

Kudos to Linda for letting us know that Rupert landed a spot on Teen Magazine's "Hottest Stars of 2008" list! He came in at #31 in the winter issue featuring the Twilight cast on the cover. If anyone has a scan, feel free to send it over!
