The 24 Contest and Name That Tune winners announced!

We are thrilled today to announce the winners of both of our contests: The 24 Contest and Name That Tune!

Name That Tune

We had a slew of perfect entries who guessed every track right! As such, I used random.org to generate our winner.

Congratulations, Corinne! You have won a brand new iPod case, signed by Rupert Grint himself!

The 24 Contest

This contest proved to be particularly challenging to pick a winner. We received so many great entries! From poems to songs, pin boards, riddles and so much more.

But, alas, only one can win the signed Ron Weasley wand, and that winner is...

Alexandra W. for her drawing of an ice cream van that is equipped with 24 special features! We particularly liked the unicycle holder and spider detector - very useful! (Click image for full size)

As we mentioned, this was a tough choice to make. We've featured some honorable mentions in our gallery.

Thanks so much to everybody who entered our contests! Both winners will be receiving an email from us shortly to confirm their wins.

RupertGrint.net Exclusive: CBGB - Interview With Cheetah Chrome

The Dead Boys are one of a few bands to be synonymous with the rise of the U.S. punk revolution. So, when it was announced that Rupert was to play their lead guitarist, Cheetah Chrome, in a new CBGB biopic, needless to say we were quite excited.

As Rupert's musical tastes are also somewhat partial to the punk genre, a special buzz surrounded the news.

Now, just two months later, filming for his cameo is complete and we've had the privilege of asking (the real!) Cheetah more about the film, his music, and Rupert's role. Read our interview at the link.

Happy 24th Birthday, Rupert Grint!

24.

It is August 24th, and I can't be the only one having trouble wrapping my head around the fact that Rupert Grint is 24.

Although I suspect I am the only one with a teenage daughter banning me from using that expression.

How can we put this into perspective?

In 2001, when Rupert first burst onto cinema screens, Orlando Bloom was just twenty-four. And he was born in 1977, the year of the Queen's Silver Jubilee. And she met her great-great-uncle, the Duke of Connaught, and his godfather was the Duke of Wellington. And he defeated Napoleon.

Napoleon Napoleon, not Napoleon Dynamite.

And Rupert loves Napoleon Dynamite.

See, Claire, I told you I couldn't write this post.

No, wait, I think I've got it.

Twenty-four years.

When did you first see this picture?

On 21st August 2000.

A squidge before his twelfth birthday.

One half of his life ago.

One half a Rupert.

Blimey.

So, to celebrate the fact, we want to wish all of Rupert a very happy birthday and we want him Trending like a mad thing, all over Twitter - here is a handy link for you to Tweet : Very Happy Birthday, Rupert Grint! #HappyBirthdayRupertGrint #RupertGrintNet.

A "Happy Birthday" from here, twenty minutes from Leavesden, where he did rather a lot of filming, a "Gratulerer med dagen" from Norway, and Cross of Honour, a "La mulți ani" from Romania and The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman and a "Happy Birthday, y'all!" from Georgia and CBGB.

And keep an eye on RGN, for the rest of the day - we have competition results and a rather exclusive interview yet to come.
