Rupert Grint Gives a Dramatic Reading of One Direction Lyrics

Actors performing dramatic monologues from song lyrics have become pretty popular. There's Samuel L. Jackson reciting Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and Jude Law giving us his best "Poker Face."

Now, we can add Rupert performing a dramatic reading of One Direction's "You and I" to our list of favorites.

The dramatic reading aired yesterday on BBC Radio 1 with Dev as part of a longer interview. Listen to it on this page; the interview starts at 2 hours and 11 minutes in.

Rupert Grint attached to new movie, 'Moonwalkers'

For the past couple of weeks, reports have been circulating on French and Belgium sites of an upcoming film called "Moonwalkers," with Ron Perlman, Rupert Grint and Robert Sheehan (Cherrybomb!) set to star.

While Rupert is definitely attached to the film, his involvement is not yet finalized.

"Moonwalkers" (or "Moonwalk," as we've seen on some sites) is from director Antoine Bardou-Jacquet and is expected to begin filming mid-May in Belgium.

Summary from the production company:

July 1969. Tom Kidman (Perlman), a CIA special agent, is sent to London to find Stanley Kubrick and convince him to film a fake moon landing in case the Apollo mission failed. He dosen't find Kubrick, but, in his place, Jonny, manager of a seedy rock band. Jonny is Kidman's worst nightmare. Kidman is Jonny's nightmare, too. They have no choice but to work together to accomplish their mission, save their lives and implement the biggest scam of all time.

Rupert Grint becomes an Ambassador for Starlight Children's Foundation

Over the holidays, fans may remember that Rupert attended the Downing Street Christmas party in support of the Starlight Foundation. At the party, Rupert helped grant the wish of a young boy and massive "Harry Potter" fan named Callum.

Today, it was announced that Rupert is taking his involvement with the charity to the next level. He's been named an Ambassador for the Starlight Children's Foundation! Starlight grants wishes for seriously and terminally ill children.

On his appointment as Ambassador, Rupert said:

“It  was  a  great  pleasure  to  help  Starlight  grant  Callum’s  wish  before Christmas and I really look forward to doing more to support this wonderful charity.  I have seen first hand just how much of an impact a Starlight Wish can have on a seriously ill child – it really makes a huge difference to them  and their family  – so  I  am delighted to  become a  Starlight Ambassador.”

Neil Swan, Chief Executive of Starlight Children’s Foundation, added:
“We are thrilled to welcome Rupert on board as an Ambassador. With his experience of Starlight’s work, popularity with young children and families, great sense of fun and charm, Rupert is perfect for Starlight and we are very excited about working with him.”
