It's a bird, it's a plane... it's Super Clyde!

TVLine is reporting that Rupert has been cast to play the lead in a CBS comedy pilot called Super Clyde.

The Hollywood Reporter has detailed information about the plot, saying:

Grint will play the title role of Clyde, the well-meaning and sweet yet slightly neurotic guy who never feels like he really fits in. The avid comic book reader considers himself a borderline agoraphobic with mild to severe anxiety issues who wishes he were a super hero himself. When Clyde inherits a $100,000 a month inheritance from his long-dead eccentric Uncle Bill, he decides that the cash will be his secret super power and will use it only for good and reward the good-hearted.

Not much else is known about the project at this time. A pilot is just the first step in the development of a TV show. It may or may not be ordered to series by CBS. We will of course continue keeping you updated as we find out more.

Just a few hours before the film is scheduled to make its festival premiere, the cast and crew of Charlie Countryman sat down to speak to press.

Our personal highlights from Rupert?:

"It's refreshing to be on a new set. After playing the same character for 11 years it's nice to do something different. The film and role ticked every box for me. It's completely the opposite of Ron."

"I loved Romania, though I didn't know what to expect at first. It didn't take me long to fall in love with the country but it did take a while to settle in. Shortly after I got there I was chased by wild dogs!"

"Drugs are a big part of my character in this film, which was something new to explore. I had so much fun and Shia was great…it was an experience."

Prior to tonight's premiere of The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman at the Berlin Film Festival, a press conference will be held at 11:10 a.m. local time (that's in just under 45 minutes!).
