Postman Pat: The Movie Gets US Release!

...and soon!

The Wrap is today reporting that Rupert's latest venture into voice acting, Postman Pat: The Movie, will receive a June 27th release in the US beginning in LA and NYC, thanks to media group Shout! Factory.

This is undeniably a treat for fans across the pond, who've waited ever-so-patiently for many of Rupert's UK-centered projects (Into the White, Wild Target and Driving Lessons, to name a few) to have a US DVD release.

We've reached out to Rupert's reps for word regarding potential premieres and appearances and are wondering:

How excited are you to see Struck by Lightning on the big screen?

Fan Photos Surface from set of 'Moonwalkers'

Filming is in full swing for Moonwalkers in Brussels, Belgium and a few fan photos have surfaced on Instagram, including one of Rupert in costume (guess which one that is wink ). Click the thumbnails to view the full-sized pics.

Summary of Moonwalkers:

July 1969. Tom Kidman (Perlman), a CIA special agent, is sent to London to find Stanley Kubrick and convince him to film a fake moon landing in case the Apollo mission fails. He doesn't find Kubrick, but finds Jonny (Grint), manager of a seedy rock band, instead. Jonny is Kidman's worst nightmare. Kidman is Jonny's nightmare, too. They have no choice but to work together to accomplish their mission, save their own lives and implement the biggest scam of all time.

Rupert Grint: "I've always wanted to be in a band."

During the recent promotional tour for Postman Pat: The Movie, Rupert sat down with the folks over at Heatworld for a chat about the film. Shedding light on his secret musical desires, Rupert confessed:

“I have always secretly wanted to be in a band. This is probably the closest I'm going to get! Something a bit more edgy like Joy Division.”

"I'm quite gifted." Rupert joked when asked why co-star Stephen Mangan didn't provide the singing voice for Pat, adding "It did get quite serious; I had to have singing lessons."

Rupert Grint Gives a Dramatic Reading of One Direction Lyrics

Actors performing dramatic monologues from song lyrics have become pretty popular. There's Samuel L. Jackson reciting Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and Jude Law giving us his best "Poker Face."

Now, we can add Rupert performing a dramatic reading of One Direction's "You and I" to our list of favorites.

The dramatic reading aired yesterday on BBC Radio 1 with Dev as part of a longer interview. Listen to it on this page; the interview starts at 2 hours and 11 minutes in.
