In anticipation to the kick start of ABC Family's Harry Potter film marathon tonight, USA Today has published a new interview with the 'Potter' producers. It's been revealed that when Goblet of Fire airs, there will be 10 extra minutes worth of deleted scenes including "extended segments with Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his buddy Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and their respective flirtations."
Regarding Ron and the Quidditch storyline, Heyman says:
"Ron is scared witless for the game...So, Harry pretends to slip him some felix felices, a liquid luck potion. All of a sudden he's imbued with fresh confidence, and he's remarkable in the Quidditch match. He's performing miracles. With that comes incredible delight and maybe a little bit of cockiness."
The first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone airs tonight at 7.30pm. We'll let you know if/when any new interviews and footage from HBP air!
Also, in another fun bit of news, during yesterday's release of Tales of Beedle the Bard, author JK Rowling brought up her fear of spiders:
"What's funny is... I gave Ron that fear. He's terrified of spiders, and Rupert Grint, who plays Ron in the films, is absolutely petrified of spiders.
I feel so sorry for him because I kept putting Ron in these situations where he had to encounter them."
