"Rupert Grint Chamber of Secrets: Full Interview," CBBC Newsround

Q: What was your favourite scene?
A: Slug scene, definitely. That was so fun because they had all these different flavours of slug slime. There was chocolate, there was lemon, there was orange, there was peppermint. All these different flavours – they made them taste really nice.

Q: You’re scared of spiders – what was it like doing scenes with them?
A: I hate them – even rubber ones I get scared of. Luckily some of them were CGI [computer graphics]. But that big car-sized one, that was actually there unfortunately. So that wasn’t my favourite scene to film.

13 November 2002: Rupert made an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Along with Adam Sandler, he guys tasted some Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans and chatted about Chamber of Secrets! Download the video.

The same applies to his famous but very down to earth young co-stars Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger and Rupert Grint, who appears as Ron Weasley.

“I get recognised too sometimes,” chips in 14-year-old Rupert. 'I’ve tried different disguises and stuff but it doesn’t work, apart from that not much has really changed for me either.'

14 November 2002: For the first time, a third Harry Potter premiere is held in Los Angeles! Rupert was in attendance with co-star Emma Watson and a slew of other celebrities.
