It was hard to believe, but there were only a few months left until the second Harry Potter film was released! No one knew how successful the first would be and there was definitely some concern about how the second story would do in theatres.
6 September 2002: Official photos of the cast are released by Warner Brothers. In this batch comes the now widely seen image of Rupert once again as Ron Weasley holding his broken wand.

Q: What was your favorite scene to film in The Chamber of Secrets?
Rupert: [The] Whomping Willow scene, which is really fun because it’s like a theme park ride and I got to drive a car.

Q: Did you have more fun making this film as opposed to the last one?
Rupert: Yes, I think so. On the first one, it was my first time on the set and it was quite scary. I know everyone now and we’re really comfortable with it.
7 September 2002: Vanity Fair once again features the Harry Potter cast within its pages!

12 September 2002: The final theatrical trailer for Chamber of Secrets was released. It offered fans a reminder of the first year and gave away many new clips from the next installment.
